Amazing necklace. Stunning. And the ring she wore was seriously kickass.

On The Hunt For: Liquid Silver Necklaces

Do you guys go through phases with your gold and silver jewelry? I do. I've been in a gold phase for a while, but lately I've been wearing lots of my silver jewelry. And the other day I was at my favorite antique store and I tried on a gorgeous multi-strand, liquid silver necklace. It was a little pricey (about $100) and I knew I could probably find one for cheaper online - but I did go home with 2 fabulous rings. ;)

This is what we're looking for...

But for under $100!

So here's what I've found so far, from $5.50 - $99!

Antiques Roadshow Recap: August 12

So I thought maybe you guys would be interested in a jewelry-only recap of Antiques Roadshow episodes? I know it's sometimes hard to watch the whole show, and most of us only watch it for the jewelry ANYWAY, so I figured I'd highlight the best pieces on here, and we'll see how it goes!

Last nite's episode didn't have a ton of jewelry, but there was one standout piece:

Shreve & Company Opal Brooch, ca. 1910 - Appraised Value: $15,000 - $20,000

The little old lady who brought it in was pretty cute, although she didn't have much to say. She got the brooch from her husband's mom, and that's about all she knew about it!

One of the cool things about this brooch was that those green stones aren't emeralds - they're demantoid garnets! And how about that opal. It's bonkers. One of the best black opals I've ever seen, for sure.
