HUGE Roundup of DIY Christmas Present Ideas!

Ok, so it's almost too late to order something online and have it get here by Christmas, but don't panic, my little procrastinators! I've gathered some of my favorite jewelry DIYs, and they'd all make fabulous gifts. And everyone loves a handmade gift, so it's a win-win!

I've ranked them with the easiest first, and the hardest toward the end.

Golden Paperclip Necklace by Crafty Habit

Paperclips!! I had to do a doubletake, I couldn't believe that paperclips could look so fancy. I think this necklace idea would be cool, too, if you substituted paperclips with jumprings. It'd be a little smaller, but it could look awesome.

Button Earrings by Frock Paper Scissors

Now you know what to do with all of those cool buttons you've been collecting, or that you see at the thrift store! Or is that just me? Either way, these are adorable!

Ribbon and Washer Necklace by Small Object via The Sampler

Love this. If I were to change anything about it tho, I'd probably do less washer rings.

Carnelian and Citrine Earrings by Cathie Filian

Ok, these might look complicated, but they are really easy to make! And you can switch the colors and beads out to personalize them.

Chain Tassel Necklace by Love Meagan

Super easy, super cute!

Two-Bead Earrings by Lee Meredith on CraftStylish

These would be great for someone who doesn't wear a tone of jewelry, because they're so simple and sweet. I'd probably give these to my little cousins.

Silk Organza Necklace by Country Living

I'd probably modify this into a bracelet, which is good news for those of us who are lazy! It would look lovely layered with some bangles and/or sparkly bracelets.

Tee Shirt Bracelets by StudioMama

Perfect for the funky lady on your list.

Lace Earrings by The Cupcake Diary

Showstoppers. And there are so many variations you can do with this tutorial!

Braided Chain Necklace by Still Dottie

Looks like a million bucks! If you're scared that your handmade gifts might end up looking too craft-y this is the DIY for you. Chic and elegant!

Textured String Bracelets by Martha Stewart

Have an old bangle or two laying around? Add some cool string to it, and voila! Christmas present! I think doing this with metallic thread would be really amazing.

Multi-faceted Swarovski Jewel Bracelet by M&J Trimming

I'd give this to my mom - she loves sparkly, but simple things, and this bracelet fits the bill.

Tree Branch Earrings by Crafty Ginger

I can definitely see my mom or aunt wearing these sophisticated ladies.

Leather Chain Necklace by Cucumbersome

My absolute favorite of this roundup. It looks complicated, but it's really not. And you could switch up the color and make it your own! And don't let the leather scare you - I went to Michael's and got a bag for around $5, and it's pretty easy to work with! Just make sure you have really sharp scissors.

Jade Beaded Necklace With Ribbon By Martha Stewart

Oh Martha, you slay me.

DIY Tom Binns Safety Pin Rhinestone Earrings by Chic Steals

Awesome. I like these better than the originals!

Twisted Knot Mesh Necklace By M&J Trimming

I'm totally making this one sometime soon.

Hidden Message Necklace by Shrimp Salad Circus via Kari-You Can Make It

Mkay, this one involves a hammer, which is why it's at the end of the list - it's kinda difficult, but oh so pretty.

All Points West Bracelet by Carbon Couture

These are amazing. So so cool. And I'd venture to say that Carbon Couture is the best site out there for jewelry DIYs. Definitely check it out if you need inspiration!

Dog Necklace by Martha Stewart

These are ridiculous. And I love them. Pets need jewelry, too!

And here are a few handy videos I found:

Really pretty beaded necklaces from Martha.

Great video about re-purposing old jewelry to make new jewelry. I looove the charm bracelet idea - it's toward the end of the video. But, um, the other lady's boob is hanging out. Which is weird. Yeah.

I hope you found some good ideas/inspiration if you're still in need of some christmas gifts. And if you make anything that you saw here, please share! Happy crafting! Merry Christmas!
